Torchlight Coaching came to be as a result of an organic and progressive journey through people development opportunities. The real natural
flair for people development appeared when I started my own business at the age of 18; I facilitated regular training & development activities
for my team of staff, both in skills and knowledge areas. My reputation then opened a door into ‘professional’ learning and development.
My varied freelance and Directorship experience has enabled me to provide a raft of services, which in the past have included
organisational development, enterprise development, personal development, coaching and training.
My delivery approach is now very much centred on coaching; where this continues to provide great benefits to both individuals and
organisations, particularly in improving the personal performance of Managers and Directors.
I spend a good deal of time building on my skills and knowledge through extensive reading, reflective analysis and formal training, this
includes gaining accreditations to become an Investors in People Specialist Advisor, a Gold Star SFEDI Business Advisor (ILM), Licentiate
member of CIPD and a Certificate in Life Coaching. I am currently working towards a Masters Degree in Coaching & Mentoring at Oxford Brookes
University
The commitment I have shown in supporting people in business is recognised by my role as a UK Ambassador for Women’s Enterprise.
It’s often remarked upon by my clients that I am a very attentive person, that I hold firm values of integrity and that they trust me
implicitly. They say I have a knack of understanding exactly where ‘they’re at’ and have a good way of looking at things in a different,
simple, straight forward way, they say I’m down to earth, that I don’t stand on ceremony; I say it as it is and that I’m just a tad quirky.
