“What is it that causes some businesses to flourish while others sink? How do some businesses turn their agility, their capacity to anticipate and
their approach to managing change into a competitive advantage?
The answer is people. More specifically, the ways people are led, managed, developed and motivated can make the winning difference”
There are a number of reasons why Directors choose to use a Coach to support them to success, sometimes its ‘lonely at the top’ and they need
a thoughtful and challenging relationship with a neutral third party who can act as an effective sounding board.
This type of coaching is concerned with developing insight, increasing strategic thinking capacity and enhancing organisational and personal awareness,
it’s also concerned with finding a healthy balance in life.
Some of the Directors that I have worked with have needed help to ‘even out’ their leadership skills, to recognise his or her problems and figure out
how to turn them around, this process can point out what could be affecting low morale and internal team conflict. The benefits they have seen
are improvements in interpersonal relationships, decision making, creative problem solving, building on existing strengths and ultimately
leadership effectiveness.
One such Director had this to say;
"Gail, have you heard the saying, you can’t teach old dog new tricks? Well you did!"
